I Almost Forgot!

Tomorrow I am hosting my FIRST EVER Morning Madness Speed Scrap at GingerScraps.

Have I mentioned that they have a speed scrap EVERY day? How can you help but be inspired when there's that much scrapping going on? Sometime soon I'll post a schedule for you. I do know, though, that tomorrow's is at 11 AM PDT, which is:

12 PM (noon) MDT
1 PM CDT
2 PM EDT, and
8 PM CEST

Lorry, that means you can come!

Here's a preview of your participation prize: Glitter Swirls made by me. :) They match Fort Wilderness, Misty O'Brien's new kit, (which you can pick up at Misty's store at Gingerscraps HERE).

And, actually, I have a quick page that I gave away the other night when I subbed in for someone else, so if you like quick pages better, I could give you that instead.

Here's the layout that I made it out of. She was so cute. Sigh. But she was a monster then, too. I just keep forgetting, lol.

Don't forget to check the next post and see if you can help Lorry see my feed. There's more information from her in the comments. If you've already made a comment and you suggest something new, based on Lorry's new information, I'll give you the pretty thing in more than one colour. And I'll give you a choice of colour! What a deal!

That's all.
Have a great night.

Calling All Followers of My Blog

Sadly, Lorry is having a problem following my blog. I don't know what the problem is, but it's making her pouty. And that's no good. And *I* have no idea. Lorry is the one who always tells *me* how to do these things. So if she's having trouble, I'm totally lost.

So, I shall put it to you, dear followers. I guess there are two questions. Does following me "work"? And how can it be done? We can't have Lorry pouting.

Every follower who answers with something useful (not "I don't know."), or funny, will get a prize, even if it doesn't address the problem Lorry is having. The prize is not big, but it's sparkly, and I hear rumours that it's pretty. And it's FREE!

And no, I don't mind if you join up and then answer. I'll take new followers. :)

That's it for today.
Have a great day.

New Kit from Mad Genius Designs

I got all caught up in a speed scrap tonight (at Gingerscraps, you shoulda been there...it was potluck! Lucky for you, there's one tomorrow.) and I almost forgot to post this! My friend Jewel, of Mad Genius Designs has a gorgeous new kit out, A Springy Kind of Day. Look:

Isn't it great? I love the colours, and I LOVE the greenery. It's so...unique. Well, in my little scrap world it is anyway.

So here's a layout I did with it:

I had so much fun with it! That's my little girl again. This time she's not wearing clothes from her cousin. They're hand me downs from her friend. (I love freebies!)

And check out this cool tag alpha that Jewel made to go with the kit. Oh, did I mention that the kit already has TWO alphas in it? No? Well, it does. But here's the add on, and it's FREE this week at Jewel's store at Stuff to Scrap.

Click HERE or on the preview (choices, choices) to go get it. Get the kit too, while you're at it. You won't be sorry.

Now, did I forget anything? Oh yeah, your QP. Here it is, made from Magic:

Click on it to get it from 4shared. No choice this time. Once is enough. Now, I seem to have a spare set of image code hanging around on this post. I wonder how that happened.

Huh. I guess I uploaded her twice. Oh well, she's cute, she can stay.

That's it! Have a great day.

Reel Fun Freebie

Another freebie for you! (And if you check back later, there will be yet ANOTHER one!)

I already talked about this a few posts down, but here it is again. Tracy (Growing Pains Scrapped) has a FREE kit out this week on her blog called Reel Fun.

***I had to delete this. I'll put it back later, new and improved!****

Click on the preview to go to her blog to pick it up, this week only. After that it goes into the store, and you'll have to pay for it. :)

Here's a layout I did with it, for the Scrap What Challenge at Stuff to Scrap. (Check it out and earn points towards a store GC. You get lots of points for each challenge so it's really easy to get your GC.) But, as I was saying, here's the layout I did with it:

Sad to say, all those photos are public domain. He wasn't really at family movie night with my husband and me. :(

And, I made it into a QP for you. You can scroll down to the other post to check it out if you forgot what it looked like. Click HERE to download from 4shared. And then go get the full kit from Tracy's blog.

And, as an added bonus, everyone on her CT had made a free QP for you. Tracy has all the links on her blog.

That's it for now!
Have a great day.

New Kit! Fort Wilderness . . .

...by Misty O'Brien. In store tomorrow! Or today, depending on when exactly you're reading this. Wednesday. In store Wednesday! Check it out:

Better yet, click on the flyer (on Wednesday) to be taken to the store to pick it up. And Misty, in her usual Type A way, has also done a set of glitter styles (ps AND png files), and some photomasks (one is included in the kit), AND I hear rumours she also has a set of templates coming out. But you didn't hear it from me, because it actually only is a rumour. Nobody has confirmed anything to me. Maybe I shouldn't have posted that. :) But I'm pretty sure she's got templates.

Here's a layout I did with the kit:

That's my daughter on her first camping trip, in case you're wondering. Wearing more hand me downs from her boy cousin.

And, because I'm so nice...no, because MISTY is so nice, here's a QP for you.

Click HERE to download. I hear another rumour that some of the other CT members also have QPs for you. Lisa does for sure. I checked. But I couldn't leave a message because my mouse decided to die. **waves** Hi Lisa!

Oh, and don't forget to join Tara tonight for a speed scrap:

Click on the image to go to GingerScraps...but not until 7pm PDT, 8pm MDT, 9pm CDT or 10pm EDT. Well, go ahead and go there now, and check it out. Then you'll know where to go for the speed scrap. :)

Let's see, was there anything else I wanted to say? Oh yes, if you're reading this Tuesday night, you may still have time to enter the Tuesday Trivia Challenge on Misty's blog (no layout required!). Everyone with the correct answer gets a $2.00 GC to Misty's store. And one person will be randomly chosen to win Misty's "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere" kit (yes the full kit!) and someone else (or maybe the same person) will win this super-cute add on to Misty's "Woodland Park Zoo" that Christie Dawn made:

Click HERE to go to Misty's blog. Or click on the image. I'll give you choices.

Okay, I think that's it!
Have a great day.

A Sale and A Freebie

How cool is that? A sale AND a freebie!

First the sale. (Sale first so you read about it, then you can have your freebie.) It's $2.00 Tuesday, and stuff to scrap is on sale at Stuff to Scrap! (I'm so funny.)

Here's the kit Jewel (Mad Genius Designs) put in the $2.00 bin:

What a deal! $2.00 for a whole kit. Click on the image to go to her store. And, even though it's called Bright Little Girl, it's not all pink. See? You can make great little boy layouts, too:

Some of you may have noticed that it is my little GIRL in the pictures, not my little BOY as I originally implied. This is true, BUT she's wearing hand me down jammies from her cousin, who is a boy.

And here's another layout that I did with it. I'm very proud of the flower coming over the frame:

And because I'm nice, I made it into a quick page for you. Without the flower.

Click on the image to download, and tell me how you like it. I made it easy for you. You can just choose a box at the bottom of the post. Aren't I nice?

Oh, and there are lots more QP freebies available if you scroll down. Five I think. Maybe four. I forget.

Have a great day!

Starts with Gardenesque and Goes from There

I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be blogging about something else tonight, but I can't remember what it is, so I'm going to show you what I did tonight.

Down quite a few posts, I blogged about a kit called Gardenesque by scrapidea-timkova, from Sunshine Studio Scraps. Remember? It was so pretty, with all those realistic garden elements? Well, I was RAK'd with it today! Yay!

And then, there was a speed scrap at Gingerscraps tonight (a speed scrap a day...), which was really fun, by the way, because the host chose 6 of us to give instructions. A potluck speed scrap! :) Anyways, here's the layout I did with the kit:

And in case you forgot what kit I mean, or you didn't read it and don't feel like looking for it, here it is again. Click on it to go to the store...if you buy the bonus clusters, you get the add-on free! But I don't have any idea how long that will last. I'm not in the know with them at all. I just like the kit. Here it is:

AND, one more thing, Misty and Jen are hosting a late night speed scrap tomorrow (Monday) night at 9 pm PDT (which is 12am EDT and 6 am CEST), to which you all should come. (An aside for us nerds: CEST does not stand for Central European STANDARD Time. It stands for Central European SUMMER Time. Who knew? Well, Lorry, I guess. And the central Europeans. And I guess most of the other Europeans. But I digress.)

Click on the ad to go to the speed scrap. But wait till tonight.
Have a great day!

Reel Fun

Starting today, Tracy of Growing Pains Scrapped has a new FREE kit for you on her blog! This movie-themed kit, Reel Fun, is perfect for scrapping your favorite movies, or your favorite movie nights. With lots of ribbons and flowers and other scrapping basics, it's also great for a lot of NON-movie themed layouts. It's versatile!

Here's a preview of the full kit:

***I had to delete this. I'll put it back later, new and improved!****

And here is a preview of the papers, which you can get FREE on Tracy's blog this week:

Click on the image of the papers to go to Tracy's blog to pick them up. Then visit her tomorrow for the elements, Tuesday for the alpha, and Wednesday for some QPs.

And here is the QP I made with the kit, which will be available on my blog on Wednesday. So come back Wednesday and pick it up!

Play All Day by Stolen Moments

Today, I just want to show off a new collab kit from Scraps by Jenn and Stolen Moments. It's full of bright colours, and playful elements...perfect for all those summer photos of kids playing. Isn't it cute? I love the little dog in the wagon! Oh, and the frog paper. And the bead scatter...

And, since I've learned a new trick, you can click on the image to be taken to the store at Sunshine Studio Scraps to purchase. Or just browse around...they have great stuff there!

Pool Update and Contest Winners Announced

It's outside now. See?

My husband came home from work and did it for us. Isn't he great?

The layout was done with Karlee's Smile from Growing Pains Scrapped, FREE on her blog right now. And, as a special surprise for you, I have LINKED the photo to Tracy's blog, so you can pick up this adorable kit. There's a preview of the kit if you scroll down a post or two. (Grab any freebies you like along the way. That's what they're there for.)

Okay, so what I did with the contest was I combined the duplicate posts into one, so that each person had one entry, then I assigned them numbers from 1-5 based on the order in which they posted. Then I used random.org's random number generator to choose a number, and it came up with 2. Let me check who #2 was. It was Lorry. Big cheer for Lorry!

Now, I did the same for the second post, only I also added on some entries from DST (it's a long story), and the winner was...#6 Crystal! Yay, Crystal!

I will get those GCs to both of you right away. Congrats ladies! Thanks so much to everyone for coming and playing!

Now everyone remember to head over to Misty's blog for the weekend challenge 'cause everyone gets a participation prize ($2 GC!), and I think someone wins something, too. I just checked and they do! Look what you could win:

Everybody say "Oooh! Aaah!" and go to Misty's blog. And just because I can, I linked the images to her blog, so you can click on them to get there.

And, as they said to me as I was leaving Florida when I was 13, "Y'all come back now, y'hear?"

More Excitement (A Blog Train)!

(Scroll down for GC giveaways and quick page freebies.)

Yay! A Blog Train! All the rest of Misty's CT has made some awesome brag book pages for you from Misty's kit A Woodland Zoo:

And here are a few of the pages, just to whet your appetite:

Aren't they cute? So, start with Misty, 'cause she's the boss. Here are all the stops, in case you get lost.

Misty
Sharon
Lisa
Marie
Tara
Christie Dawn

Don't forget to leave them love! We all need a little love. In fact, love is all we need...but don't get me singing.

And don't forget to stop by Misty's blog on Saturday for the weekend challenge. Good fun, good prizes!

-EDIT: To clarify, there is no QP here, but if you go to the blogs I listed, THEY all have freebies. Sorry for any confusion. :)

Free to a Good Home! (And a Sale!)

One QP, made with knittinjen's (relatively) new kit: Vanilla Daisies!

Here's the kit:

And here's the layout I made with it:

The QP is the same as the layout, except I took out the word art. I'm pretty sure the font is personal use only. But if you WANT word art, you should tell me. :) Actually, here's the QP. I forgot I made a fancy holder for it. :)

And the reason you're getting this free? Knittinjen is having a sale! Check it out:

38% off! How cool is that? Now, I know it says to click on her ad to go to her store. But you know that's not going to happen, right? You better click HERE. (You could try the ad. I'm not going to stop you. But nothing will happen. Probably.) Oh, and Jen has another freebie QP at the store, so you should definitely go get that. Click HERE. (Same link, just another opportunity!)

Click HERE to get my QP from 4shared. No, I still haven't managed to link my images. But I haven't actually tried yet. Maybe tomorrow.

Don't forget there are TWO gift certificate giveaways still active. Just scroll down to find them.

An Exciting Announcement!

Well, it's exciting to me. And it could be exciting to you! Misty O'Brien (yeah, Misty again) has asked me to be on her CT. Yay! So to celebrate, I'm offering another, yes ANOTHER $2.00 GC to her store. All you have to do is visit the store, HERE, and then come back and tell me what you would get with it. Easy peasy.

And if you haven't already, don't forget to scroll down and enter the original free GC contest, and pick up some quick pages.

So, here are a couple of things you could get for $2.00 at Misty's store:

Glitter layer styles for It's 5 O' Clock Somewhere:

Brand new Woman's Dictionary Word Art:

But they aren't the only things, and she still has a bunch of free stuff. So go check it out. And then come back and tell me what you like. I'll choose a random person tomorrow evening to win. Well, you don't need to be random. I'll randomly choose someone. :)

--Edit: I forgot to say...there's another GC giveaway down a few posts, so scroll down and enter than one, too.

New Kit from Growing Pains Scrapped and another Freebie

(If you want the Misty O'Brien contest, scroll down. If you want a free QP, read this post, and then scroll down for more!)

If you have checked out all my little things at the side of my blog, you'll see that I'm guest CTing for Tracy of Growing Pains Scrapped. She has a new kit in store today, Karlee's Smile.

And for some reason, I can't get the preview to show.

Oh, there it is. Okay. So, you can see that it's full of brightly coloured fun elements...flowers, buttons, brads, adorable wire word art, and TWO alphas. (I love alphas.) It's just great! It goes on sale in Tracy's Store at Stuff to Scrap today. I mean Sunday. Oops, I goofed. BUT, the good news is that it's FREE right now on her blog.

Here is a layout it did using it:

And I used that layout to make a QP for you. Yay! Click HERE to pick it up on 4shared. Let me know what you think!

Not Quite Done for the Day...

So, Misty (who you should scroll down to read about) is in a generous mood, and has given me a gift certificate to her store at Gingerscraps to give away! Yay! So, we need to have a contest of some kind. Let me see. Okay...we're in the middle of a heat wave here, so I bought my almost 2 year old daughter a wading pool today. You know, a blow up, pink polka dotted wading pool. Being the kind of girl she is, and the kind of mom I am, the pool is sitting half-blown up in the middle of the living room floor. And we're all perfectly happy that way. So that's my story...what's yours? Tell me a story that has water in it. I'll be back on Friday to randomly choose a winner.

And if you don't have a water story, make some sort of comment about my blog. I'll count that. :) Have a great day!

Oh, and when I went to Misty's store to get the link to post I saw all sorts of alpha freebies...go grab some! I don't know how long they're on sale...I don't have that kind of information. But that felt alpha for It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere is free!

Click HERE to be directed to Misty's store at Gingerscraps.

If anyone knows how to link an image on a blog, they could comment about that. :D

Oh, and one more thing...

Misty O'Brien (See "It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere" post below) is having her Tuesday Trivia challenge, which is ONLY OPEN UNTIL 10 PM PACIFIC TODAY. Go enter! Everyone will win a set of 4 brag book pages created by Christie Dawn from Misty’s “It’s 5 O’clock Somewhere kit!” And one lucky winner will win the whole kit! You can see the kit below, and you can check out Misty's blog to see the QPs and enter the contest. What are you waiting for? Check it out!

Free to a Good Home!

Two Quick Pages! Yay, my first freebie! Both of these pages are made with kits by Mad Genius Designs. AND! Both of these kits are ON SALE for $2.00 Tuesday at Stuff to Scrap. The cool thing about $2.00 Tuesday, is that it actually lasts for a whole WEEK! All the designers put a couple of kits on sale every week for $2.00...that's a lot of kits!

So, Jewel has two kits this week...a gorgeous floral one called Grandma Loves Me, and a rich basketball-themed one called Dunkadelic. Check out the previews below:

AND, as a special bonus for you, I have made TWO (yes, TWO) Quick Pages for you. Look:

And here they are with photos in them, so you can see how cute they are:

Click HERE to snag the Grandma Loves Me QP, and HERE to go to Jewel's store at Stuff to Scrap.

Click HERE to be directed to Jewel's blog for the Dunkadelic QP, and HERE to go to Jewel's Store at Stuff to Scrap. (Just giving you a second chance to get these kits for $2.00!!!)

Leave me a comment, here, there or at 4shared if you like them, and I'll make more!

(Sorry the previews are so small. Apparently I have sizing issues. I'll try to deal with them before next time.)

It's 5 O'Clock Somewhere

Today I want to show you a kit from Misty O'Brien, called it's 5 O'Clock Somewhere. I love this kit! I won it awhile back and have used it for so many layouts...it's probably my most used kit. So she has a full kit, with alpha. She has also made a co-ordinating glitter layer styles kit (which I used in my LO below). Also available is a second acrylic felt alpha, and NOW you can get a mini add-in by Christie Dawn. Check out the previews below, and my most recent layout (created using a template by ScrappyCocoa, another fabulous designer!). Click on the add-on preview title to be directed to Misty's blog where you still have a few more hours to get a free $2.00 GC to Misty's store at Gingerscraps) and a chance to win the add-on! What a day!

Full kit - Click here to go to Misty's store at Gingerscraps

Add On - Click here to go to Misty's Blog

All Wet - Clicking here will get you nowhere. But you could try if you like.

HELP!

So, if anyone can tell me how to make those photos smaller so we can see the whole preview, I would be really happy, lol. I'll keep working on it. :)

~Edit: Big THANKS to Lorry for helping me resize those images!

Beautiful New Kits at Sunshine Studio Scraps

So, my first real post isn't even about me, lol. It's to show you two GORGEOUS kits from Sunshine Studio Scraps. First up is Scrapidea-timkova's new kit Gardenesque:

Don't you just love all the realistic nature elements? I'm thinking I need those seed packages and that watering can to show off the photos I took of MY little garden! If my post worked out like I planned, you can click on the link to be taken to the store.

And the next one I have to show off is also from SUN. It's Flutter Expressions newest kit, A Summer's Day. Again, it's a gorgeous kit, perfect for summer photos. Check out the little string butterfly, and click on the image to be taken to the store.

Thanks for reading.
