Stolen Moments and Sunshine Studio Scraps

***Click HERE to go the the Mini Kit freebie post... or you could just read this post, which is an informative one, and scroll down to Friday's post. That'll get you the kit also. It's your choice. I strongly recommend reading all the posts though.***
I told you a while back that I was RAK'd at Sunshine Studio Scraps with Play All Day by Stolen Moments and Scraps by Jenn. Here's the kit:

Remember it? Well, I wanted to show it off to you again, because SUNSHINE STUDIO SCRAPS is BACK ONLINE! They were down for a server upgrade for TWO WEEKS! I almost died. Total withdrawal. If you haven't been there before, you should go check them out. They have some fabulous designers there, and the layouts in their gallery provide so much inspiration for me. And it's a fun, friendly place to be. So check them out at www.sunshinestudioscraps.com.

I have been trying to perfect my extraction technique, and learn to put together a "fantasy" layout. I'm not sure if that's what they're called, but that's what I call them. Here's a layout I did with my newfound skills and Play All Day.

Anyone have any thoughts on it? I like constructive criticism. :) Oh, and go pick up Play All Day at SUN. Click HERE. And don't forget to check out Sunny Sunday...lots of things are on sale!

That's all for now! Have a great day!

Mini Kit Freebie and Blog Challenge

First off, check out Misty O'Brien's blog for the weekly (weekend-ly?) Weekend Blog Challenge. It's super easy. Create a layout according to her instructions, and you could win this alpha:

And that's actually one alpha in each of the colours, so you can mix and match your own. Or not. Whatever you like. But check it out. Click HERE to go to Misty's blog.

And, next on the agenda, I did my first mini kit this week for a challenge at Enchanted Studio Scraps. And, since it's posted there for people to grab, I'll post it here for YOU to grab.

Click on the image to pick it up from 4shared. This is my first try at this, so please let me know what you think. And if you have any constructive criticism, I'd love to hear it. Just be nice, lol. And if you love it, tell me that, too. It's good for my ego.

I think that's it. Have a great day!

Tagged...6 Things that Make Me Happy, plus a Bonus

Lorry tagged me, and now I need to come up with 6 things that make me happy. I'm having an unhappy couple of days, so this will be good for me. Even though it keeps reminding me of a chain letter. LOL.

1. My husband. One of the reasons is that he went out to the store last night and got me chocolate ice cream, even though we both knew it would make me sick, and didn't say a word about it. Not even this morning when it had, sure enough, made me sick.

The rest of these are in order of their occurance to me, not in order of their happy-making ability.

2. RAKs. I've gotten some of the most beautiful kits from RAKs. (I got one from By Becca at ESS yesterday and one from Stolen Moments a couple of weeks ago that I still need to blog about. But I will, don't you worry. I'm just waiting for Sunshine Studio Scraps to come back up for Stolen Moments'. --How's that for proper apostrophe use, Lorry?)

Hmm. I should probably say my children here, but they are fighting. Again. LOL.

3. Sales. I'm shopping Back to School sales right now, and while I hate buying so much stuff, I LOVE getting so much stuff on sale.

4. Three year olds. Three year olds are hilarious. And they aren't two anymore. I am really looking forward to our almost two year old being three.

5. Ooh. Chocolate ice cream. I was much happier last night after I had eaten chocolate ice cream. With homemade raspberry sauce.

Just as an aside...something I just discovered that does NOT make me happy? Another video tape with the tape snapped by the almost-two-year-old.

6. My yard. I love my yard.

Whew! I did it.

Okay, now I'm going to tag...

Jewel
Mommy Spice
Trina
Laura
Beth
A Whittle Whimsey

The rules:
Link back to the person who tagged you.
List six little things that make you happy.
Tag six bloggers and let them know they’re “it”.

Oh, I forgot. Lorry's blog makes me happy, too. :) That one is a bonus.

Free to a Good Home

I have two freebies for you today. You can have either one, or both!

First up is a quick page made with Dunkadelic by Mad Genius Designs. I keep wanting to show off how cool this kit is for non-basketball layouts. So, here's a layout I made with it:

I didn't make a preview, so you'll have to click on the layout to get your QP. I saved the word art and title as a separate file, so you could use them if you like, or not if you don't. (The letters aren't really blurry. It just saved funny. Hmm.) The fonts are by Kevin and Amanda. If you haven't yet checked them out, go do it! They have awesome fonts! You can find them by clicking on their blinkie at the side of my blog.

Click on the kit preview to go to Mad Genius Designs at Stuff to Scrap!

AND! I'm so excited...here's my first template! Yay! Available in both 12x12 and 8.5x11. The downloads contain layered PSD files as well as PNG files for those who don't use Photoshop.

Click HERE for 12x12, and HERE for 8.5x11.

Leave me a comment if you take it. Or click below to tell me what you think without a whole lot of effort.
Have a great day!

Oops

I found something I don't like in those glitter swirlies I was giving away a couple of posts down. You probably didn't notice it, because neither I nor my QA noticed it. BUT, I don't like that it's there, so I fixed it and will post another set in a couple of days. Sorry about that. I'll be more careful in the future.

And I forgot Six Word Saturday (I knew I was forgetting something), so maybe I'll be late and do Six Word Saturday on Sunday. Or Six Word Sunday.

Six Word S-day:

Too many raspberries. Not enough jars.

(I like these. They're kind of like Haiku.)

Hoppy Easter! Hoppy Easter?

What? Easter? Yeah, check it out! Mad Genius Designs has a new kit in store...Hoppy Easter! Bright and fun, this kit will bring a cheerful touch to all your scrapbook pages. Created for Easter, you'll find that most of the papers and elements can be used year round, for any layout that needs a splash of colour. Contains 16 textured papers, including 6 solids and 10 bold fun patterns, and 41 elements. (I totally copied that from the description in the store!) But it's true! I had no problem making several layouts with it, using our summer photos. It's so bright and fun! Here's a simple one I made...I couldn't think of a title though. I'm having so much trouble with titles lately. Anybody have any suggestions?

And, since it's Tuesday, the sale kits at Stuff to Scrap are changing. Jewel has put this brand-new kit into the $2 Tuesday bin, so you can snag it until next Monday for TWO DOLLARS! Click on the ad to go to her store at Stuff to Scrap.

Did you notice that adorable little chicky? That alone is worth getting the kit!

You're waiting for your freebie, aren't you? Well, here it is:

Click on the preview to pick it up, and leave me some love. Or just click on the little options below my post so I know you like it, and aren't just taking it to tease me.

That's all. Have a great day!

Another Exciting Announcement!

Well, like before, it's exciting to me! I was chosen to be a Wyld Graham Cracker! Isn't that just the coolest name? It's the new-ish combined CT for Wyld Web Designs and Graham Like the Cracker. So, I get to work with TWO designers for ONE LOW PRICE! And to celebrate, I've made TWO quick pages (for ONE LOW PRICE!) One is from Jen's newest kit, Little Sighs. Here's a preview of the kit:

(CLICK ON THE PREVIEW TO GO TO HER STORE AT GINGERSCRAPS!)

Aren't those colours gorgeous? She says it's for little boys, and it's great for little boys, but I've done two fantastic (if I do say so myself) layouts featuring my little girl. So, it's versatile. I love that in a kit. I won't show them both to you today. That's a lot of images to load.

Here's a layout I did with it for an ABC challenge at Enchanted Studio Scraps:

AND....here's a quick page I made for you! Yay! Click on the preview to download.

And the other is from one of Charmaine's newest kits, Sweet N Soft. Here's a preview of the kit.

(CLICK ON THE PREVIEW TO GO TO HER STORE AT GINGERSCRAPS!)

And a layout I made with it, this time for a speed scrap at Gingerscraps (there's one every day!):

Oh, I think I showed you this already in an earlier post. Anyways, it wasn't quite appropriate for a quick page, so I changed it a bit. Do you like it?

You can't click on it to get it yet, because I'm having some technical difficulties, which are beyond my control. I'll post it tomorrow probably. :) Sorry about that. But you still get one. So enjoy it, and come back for another round tomorrow.

That's all. Have a great day!

Another New Kit by Misty O'Brien!

This time it's a collab kit with Jen Yurko (Inspiration Lane) called "Beachy is Peachy". Isn't that a great title? I love the colours...they're so soft and pretty! And the seaside embellies are just great. Here's a preview of the full kit:

Click on it to go to Misty's store at GingerScraps.

And here are the GLITTER STYLES (I love glitter):

You can click on that to go to Misty's store at GingerScraps, too. (Second chance...take it, take it!) There's an alpha, too, but I can't find a preview to show you. But go to Misty's store. (Third chance! I'm not giving you any more.) All this stuff is 20% off over the weekend.

Here are some of the layouts Misty's and Jen's teams have done. Aren't they fantastic?

Bryn

Jenn

Jewel

Me

And here's a quick page I made for you from mine. I left on the word art that I made, but I'm interested to know if you prefer quick pages with or without word art. Without is more versatile, but with is nicer. If you like the word art, I mean. :)

Now, I know that more people than just me have freebies (cough, cough, LISA, cough cough), but I'm not sure who all does. Oh, Jewel just said she does. So check out her blog. And Adriana (who I keep calling Drica) also has a gorgeous one.

And a reminder. Speed scraps this weekend at GingerScraps are Saturday and Sunday at 6 pm PDT (9 pm EDT). Check out the participation prize Barb made for tomorrow's scrap HERE! It's a REALLY COOL alpha. I'd show you a preview, but there are so many images on here already. I don't want to overload you or you'll stop reading.

Oh, and I almost forgot! I have another give-away! Who wants to win a $4.00 gift certificate to Misty's store? (Who doesn't? Right?) All you have to do is check out Misty's store HERE and tell me what you'd get. Easy peasy. And fun, too! And don't forget to tell me whether or not you like word art on your QPs. And I will randomly pick a winner to win. Umm...let's see. How about on Wednesday? I hope I remember.

And check out Misty's blog for the weekend blog challenge...it's always good. (And this week, you can win Beachy is Peachy!)

--EDIT--can you believe it? I totally forgot to upload your freebie to 4shared! So, here's your link. :)

AND...Misty has a freebie, too. Go get it HERE.

Secret Sale!

It's $2 Tuesday at Stuff to Scrap, and I was supposed to have a layout done with Jewel's (Mad Genius Designs) $2 Tuesday kit. But I don't. I spent too much time trying to think up something good to journal for GingerScraps Survivor Week 3 Challenge. I hate journalling. And I can't figure out if journalling is spelled journalling or journaling. (No, Dad, I haven't checked the dictionary. Maybe I'll make one of the boys do it. For Language Arts!) Spell check doesn't like either. It wants me to journal ling. Who is ling? No one I know. Obviously, the spell check writer is NOT a scrapbooker. Silly man. Silly, silly man. Or woman. But probably not. But, I digress. So, I didn't get my layout done, and there's a NEW RELEASE in $2 Tuesday. But it's a secret! Hahahahahaha! So you need to go to Jewel's store at Stuff to Scrap to find it!

Click on the ad to go to Stuff to Scrap.

If you buy it, send me a copy of your receipt and I'll give you a free co-ordinating word art. Actually, you can have either version...I couldn't decide which I liked better.

OR

Click here to get a free sampler. And while you're at it, check out all the other challenges at Stuff to Scrap. It's a really easy way to earn points towards a STORE gift certificate. And you get lots of points for each challenge, so it's quick, too. :)

Have a great day!
Jane (Again)

-EDIT--I almost forgot! Go to Misty's blog for Tuesday Trivia and an extended Weekend Challenge. Everyone who enters gets a $2.00 GC to her store! Go enter...that's free money!

Sunday, August 2, 2009

Oh, and one more thing...

...Charmaine (Wyld Web Designs) has made up a beautiful desktop calendar with ALL the speed scrap times for the month of August. She's made it with a new kit that's coming out...Time of Remembrance. I haven't seen it yet, but look at that desktop! Wow!

Click on the preview to download it at her blog. And don't forget to say thanks!

And now that you have a calendar, you have no excuse to miss a speed scrap.
Have a good night.
Jane (Again)

RAK'd Again and Other Nonsense

So random.org was really my friend last week. Not only did I get RAK'd with Gardenesque, but I also got Play All Day, a collab by Stolen Moments and Scraps by Jenn (which I will show you later) AND this awesome one by Wyld Web Designs: Soft N Sweet.

(Click on the image to go to Charmaine's store to pick it up. Right now, she has the full Soft N Sweet bundle (full kit, plus alpha, plus glitter layer style) for 23% off! That's only $5.60 for the whole thing! What a steal.)

Anyways, I used the kit in today's speed scrap (remember there's a speed scrap EVERY DAY at Gingerscraps?), and this is the result:

I love dirty summertime feet. It means everyone has been playing OUTSIDE!

So, you missed today's SS with it's awesome mini-kit by Jill for a participation prize, but there's one tomorrow night. Jen and Misty are hosting a Late Night speed scrap tomorrow night, starting at 9 pm PDT. (That's 10 pm MDT, 11 pm CDT and 12 midnight EDT. And it's very very early in the morning for the Europeans so I won't bother posting that.) And while you're there, check out the Monster Challenge. If you complete 8 speed scraps, plus the rest of the challenges (I think there are ten), you win a free kit! This month is sponsored by Scrappy Cocoa, so you get to choose one of her kits.

Click on the ad to be taken to GingerScraps. Really. Do. You'll be glad you did.

I think that's it for now. Oh yeah, I'll come back later and post tomorrow's PP for the SS if I manage to get a hold of it.
Have a great day.
