Lyme Disease

So by now, many of you know I'm sick, but I think it's time I said something more official. I've been diagnosed with Lyme disease after almost 8 years of getting more and more sick. I'm thankful to finally be diagnosed, but I'm by no means better. I appear to have a severe case of it...I'm basically bedridden, and my brain just doesn't work anymore. My husband is nursing me full time and we have other people coming in to help almost every day. I'm not able to design at this point....or scrap!!!...or read...or follow a conversation...

Here's an interesting little documentary on Lyme disease in Canada (which is where I am). Sadly, I can identify with the symptoms as well as the difficulty getting a doctor to believe there was something wrong.

I'm currently being treated with antibiotics and a lot of detoxing, and hope to be back to life again soon. You'll know as soon as I am! We have no reason not to expect a full recovery, eventually, but apparently you just never know. (I wish I could give you more info on my story, but I'm just too tired right now to do that.)

Journalling Challenge!

Come join me over at Sunshine Scraps for a Journalling Challenge. Yes, I am hosting a journalling challenge. Ironic, isn't it? But....it's been good for me. I journalled! Actually, there was a fantastic journalling tutorial over at The Daily Digi a few days ago that really made me realize the importance of journalling. I'm still going to do pages that are just pretty, but I'm going to make a huge effort to journal more. So, do you want to see what I did?

I used Making Memories by Janice's Scrap. It's a such a pretty kit! I was very happy to be able to work with it. I also used All Clustered Up Templates by Designs by Sweet Mesquite (more CT goodness!) and an alpha from Subtle Shift by Gypsy Couture.

Another Free Gift: Orange You Glad?

...but first I wanted to show you something. :) This is my husband.

I made this ATC for ADSR5 (which, by the way, I am really enjoying. I tend to avoid scrapping my feelings, or about myself, or even thinking too hard about them right now. And this challenge is MAKING me do that, because I can't quit on my partner. It's been challenging. But I like where I am now, compared to where I was. But anyways, back to my husband...). He's the best husband. :) I've been sick now for almost six years with Lyme Disease and Babesiosis, which was finally diagnosed late December. I'm really sick. And he's been taking care of me, and taking care of the kids and staying all on top of everything and I'm so proud of him and so glad I married him! So he gets a scrap card and a mention on the blog, lol. (I wonder if he'll see this. :P) Hi, Honey! *wave*

None of them are mine though, lol. I'm on all these CTs for some wonderful designers, and I got so wrapped up in my Everyday Moments kit, that I totally fell apart on my scrapping. Now, though, I'm back with a vengance. Wanna see?

First of all, I did actually start my own P365 project. I am out of order, because I didn't do the first couple of days yet, and I didn't take pictures every day (doh), but I'm still really happy.

I used this new mega collab from the Sunshine Studio Scraps and The Digichick designers ($3!!! at SUN).

And I used this new template set from Steel City Scraps (I swear, my layout scrapped itself!):

New Product! Love You Forever - with Freebie!

Stuff to Scrap is starting something new this year...Build-A-Kits! For those of you unfamiliar with the concept, designers create a bunch of products with the same colour palette, and price them low enough so that you can mix and match and create your own kit.

The palette for this month was a beautiful pink and green one that just said "LOVE" to me, and that was the inspiration for my designs, Love You Forever. The more I worked with them, the more excited I got about them, and pretty soon, I had papers, ellies, cardstocks and two alphas. I could have kept going but I finally made myself stop, lol. So, do you want to see them? I sure hope so, because I really want to show them off!

Whew, that was a lot. Thanks for sticking around! I have to find a better way to show all this stuff off. :)

I had waaay too much fun shopping the Black Friday Sales yesterday, and I saw a few places that had sales the whole weekend...what a great idea! I can shop today, too! So I decided to leave my store on sale as well...45% off anything and everything until the end of day on Monday! Go shop! I'm going to, but not at my store, because that would just be...weird.

I also have a couple of new products in store that you might want to check out. My CT member Beth has put together another set of templates from my layouts called Stripped Away. Perfect for highlighting that one gorgeous photo! And she did such a fantastic job. :)

First of all, I'm sorry it's been so long since there was a freebie, but I got all busy makin' stuff, lol. There's a LOT to do when you are selling in someone else's store. Who knew? Well, I guess a lot of people did, but *I* didn't. And then I somehow ended up on an awful lot of CTs, which I LOVE because I get to work with some fabulous kits...which totally helps my designing. But that takes time too. :) And then, my two year old has suddenly become awfully busy, lol, and we keep having to travel out of town for various medical appointments and geez, all of a sudden another week has gone by, and no freebie. Sorry 'bout that. :)

New Kit from Me-Winter Berries!

My first full-sized kit is in store! Yay! I designed Winter Berries with the images of snowy sleigh rides and winter woods in my head. I think I really captured it. :)

The full kit includes 13 papers, 43 unique elements plus 10 complex recolours, and one full alpha with numbers and symbols. I also have a set of glitter sheets, quick pages, a separate alpha (the same one that is in the full kit, separate in case you love alphas like I do) and two different bundles. I sorta went overboard, lol.

I have such exciting news for you! I'm a real designer now! I have a store! Yay!! I'm going to be selling as Little Red Scraps at Stuff to Scrap. I'm so excited, can you tell? I linked my name to the store, so you could go there. Sadly, I don't have anything in it yet. Some of you might be wondering why I don't put Fall Into Fall into the store. Well, I did! I put it into my OTHER store! (**insert big grin here**). Yes, I have two stores. I have my own, Little Red Scraps, and then Jewel, of Mad Genius Designs, and I have teamed up to form Red Genius Enterprises. Da da da daaaah! And THAT store has something in it! So, you may or may not know that November 7 is (inter)National Digital Scrapbooking Day. I didn't know until last week. I'm so out of the loop, because apparently preparations have been going on for quite some time, lol. And the girls at Stuff to Scrap have been working super hard to bring you a month of fun to celebrate.

This might get long. Bear with me. It will be worth it because, while I personally do not have a freebie in this post (well, not for everyone anyways), I will tell you about sales, and challenges with prizes, and ways you can win stuff, and where to get a FREE ALPHA! So...it'll be good.

Lucie B has a scary (well, cute really) new Hallowe'en kit out, Happy Hallow's Eve, which you can get at her store at Digi Scraps Drive In.

Here's my part of the train, an add-on alpha...like it? I designed it with the idea that it could be used for some fancy black and white layouts as well as the Hallowe'en ones. I tried to make it match, but still be usable for other layouts. What do you think? Did I manage?

Fall Into Fall Collab - Freebie!

Fall Into Fall Collab

I'm so excited! I teamed up with Jewel of Mad Genius Designs for my first FULL KIT! Yay! I had so much fun doing this that I made way too much stuff. I'll probably put it together into an add on or two for later. For now though, I've included 12 papers and 32 unique elements, plus recolours of three of those. I also did two full alphas, because it was so much fun. :) I filled it with glitter and acrylic, and mixtures of both because I got these cool custom layer styles from FlutterbyeFaery Designs (more on those later).

I'm releasing this a bit differently this time. Today you'll get the plain papers, tomorrow the patterned, Wednesday the elements, Thursday the alphas and Friday some quick pages. Whew, what a week! All my links will stay up until Saturday. If you miss anything, you can pick it up in Jewel's store at Stuff to Scrap.

I almost forgot...those layer styles! They are the coolest thing! You send FlutterbyeFaery Designs a five-colour colour swatch, and she sends you five layer styles in each of the five colours! How cool is that?

Now, normally, I would try to figure this out myself, or I would do it and recolour....but it's only $4! I mean, how much time and effort did I just save myself by getting these styles in my palette?
